How did you find this internship?

A friend referred me to this position.

What did you do as an intern at this organization?

I guided the patients through their exercises, set up e-stim on patients, prepared
hot packs and cold packs, and cleaned the treatment area and organized the linens.

What did you find most rewarding in your internship?

The most rewarding aspect of my internship was interacting with the patients. Creating
a one to one relationship with the patients puts them at ease. It also allows them
to understand that everyone in the clinic cares about them as a whole.

What were the challenges you faced in your internship?

Some of the patients can come off as rude and impatient, but you have to learn how
to maintain a positive attitude. You also have to realize that there are going to
be rough days where either you mess up or you have a patient be rude to you. I realized
that my good and bad experiences will only mold my character for the better.

If another student at TU was interested in your internship next year, what skills
would you recommend they develop in the coming semesters to prepare?

I would say learn how to multitask and also learn to exercise patience. Also, I would
suggest to always ask any questions related to work. Never be shy or anxious about
inquiring about what you are assigned to do. Always be on time to work. Also, try
to exercise honesty in everything you do.
