Minor in Family Studies

The Family Studies minor includes 6 units of prerequisite courses and 21 units of Family and Human Services (FMST) courses, for a total of 27 units. The minor provides an opportunity for students who would like to study families along with their major focus of study. Knowledge about families and working with families has emerged as a critical area of concern for health, social service, and education professionals. Thus, this program fits well for students studying in health professions, liberal arts, and education.
